The spray drying technology used by Phytochemindo is for drying extracts from natural materials in the form of liquid or oleoresin containing phytochemical compounds. The utilization of this technology is expected to meet the needs of food and pharmaceutical, cosmetics industry in the preparation of finished product innovations that is currently very diverse. With the presence of this spray dryer it is expected to be able to increase the quantity, quality, innovation and production standards extracts of native medicinal plants from Indonesia.
Advantages Phytochemindo Spray Drying Facility Spray drying technology offers a number of unique advantages, including :
The Spray Drying Process
Spray drying is a very fast method of drying due to the very large surface area created by the atomization of the liquid feed and high heat transfer coefficients generated. The short drying time, and consequent fast stabilisation of feed material at moderate temperatures means that spray drying is also suitable for heat sensitive materials.
Spray-drying is defined as the transformation of liquid state feed into a dried particulate form. This is achieved by atomizing the fluid into a drying chamber, where the liquid droplets are passed through a hot-air stream. The heat and mass transfer during the drying occurs rapidly between the air and vapour films surrounding the droplet at the saturation temperature. This technique, consequently, is suitable for the heat-sensitive products. This type of drying process is widely used in the large-scale industry to produce the milk powders, instantaneous coffee and fruit juice powders, as well as for the encapsulation of the active components. Spray drying is ideal, when the end product must comply with precise quality standards regarding particle size distribution, residual moisture content, bulk density and particle morphology.Phytochemindo’s Spray Dried Extracts
Powdered extracts are presented in a powder form and are produced using qualified extraction processes through internal standardized extraction methodology. The extracts are powdered using spray drying technology. A special process removes almost all the moisture content and assures longer shelf life.
Whether it's innovative research, creativity, fine-tuning or simply problem solving. We offer our clients a partnership in product development and production of finished form.
